PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY
This Agreement is a binding, contractual agreement between the client (“Client” or “You”) and North East Moving and Hauling, LLC (“North East Moving and Hauling,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Agreement applies to your access to and use of our moving and cleanout services (the “Services”). By using any service provided by North East Moving and Hauling, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 1. Confidentiality
North East Moving and Hauling will treat all client-provided information, including addresses, access details, and instructions, as confidential. This information will only be used to fulfill the requested services and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with the client’s express consent.
2. Services Provided
North East Moving and Hauling offers moving and cleanout services in compliance with Maryland laws and regulations. These services include:
- Residential and commercial moving.
- Junk removal and estate cleanout services.
- Packing, unpacking, and organizational support.
3. Payment Terms
- Rates: All service rates will be agreed upon prior to scheduling and are outlined in the provided quote or invoice.
- Payment: Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments are subject to a late fee of 10% or the maximum amount permitted by law.
- Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the estimated service cost.
- Refunds: Refunds will not be issued for completed services unless required by law.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring:
- Accurate and complete information about the move or cleanout (e.g., inventory, access restrictions).
- All items are packed securely before moving unless packing services are included.
- Access to the property is available at the agreed time.
5. Liability
- Damages: North East Moving and Hauling will exercise care to avoid damages during services. However, liability for damages is limited to $0.60 per pound per item unless additional coverage is purchased.
- Exclusions: We are not liable for damages to items improperly packed by the client or pre-existing damage.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or damages caused by events outside of our control, such as weather, traffic, or governmental restrictions.
6. Right to Refuse Service
North East Moving and Hauling reserves the right to refuse service if the work environment is deemed unsafe, the client violates these terms, or the requested services are outside the scope of our offerings.
7. Termination
This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time with written notice. Termination does not absolve the client from paying for services rendered up to the termination date.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved under Maryland law. Parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Maryland.
9. Modifications
North East Moving and Hauling may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes prior to their effective date.
